Color Analysis
What is a Color Analysis?
A color analysis is crucial in determining which hair colors would look best on you.
The analysis is categorized by the four seasons of Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. The colors within each seasonal category are influenced by the colors you would see in that season.
What to Expect
We have tools that help us determine whether you look better in warm or cool, light or dark, bold or muted colors.
Color capes will be draped around your shoulders near your face to determine which season you are. Once your season is determined, we’ll discuss which colors would look best on you and which color services you should receive to achieve your best look.
Upon completion, you’ll receive a 6-page guide sent to your phone in your season to help you choose makeup colors, clothing colors and so much more.
How Should I Prepare?
No need for preparation for your analysis. Please come as you are. If you’d like to learn the lingo to get the best experience possible, we’ll break down what we’re looking for.
- Color has three properties: hue, value, and chroma. Hue is the color that is seen. In the color analysis, we refer to hue as the underlying tone. The underlying tone is either cool (blue) or warm (yellow).
- Value is the colors’ lightness or darkness. Value is measured on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being black and 10 being white.
- Chroma is a color’s brilliancy, saturation, or gray-ness. This helps us determine if your hair color needs to be bold, or soft and muted.
